Korean netizens believe NewJeans should sing live more often
On November 20, a post was made on the popular Korean forum Nate Pann, titled “A group who is not criticized despite lip-syncing.”
This post attached captured comments of Korean netizens, which compare NewJeans with other rookie groups, such as IVE and aespa. The post stressed that other groups were usually mentioned and criticized if lip-syncing, but NewJeans was not despite lip-syncing and using live AR.

In the comment section, many Korean netizens agree with this opinion, saying,
“I usually think about this, too. I was curious because New Jeans was rarely mentioned compared to IVE, LE SSERAFIM, and aespa.”
“Honestly, isn’t this right? aespa and BLACKPINK are already well-proven groups, but with just a little bit of AR installed, they are heavily criticized. NewJeans’ songs are easier (compared to anespa and BLACKPINK), but nothing happens when they use AR.”
“But there is a tendency to treat NewJeans nicer because the group’s image itself is pure and young, people seem to love and be proud of them rather than critical.”
“I hope they stop lip-syncing and do more live performances. I want to see them perform properly.”
As of November 21, the post has gathered approximately 92,000 views.
