Kwon Eun-bi’s Waterbomb Success: “Ads, Events Skyrocketed No One to Compete With, I’m the OG!”
On April 21, Kwon Eun-bi appeared as a guest alongside KCM on the YouTube show “Come Over Here” hosted by Super Junior’s Donghae and Eunhyuk.
When asked if there’s anyone she feels competitive with in the Waterbomb scene, she coolly replied, “No one really. I’ve never felt the need to be wary. I just don’t care much.” Backed up by Donghae and Eunhyuk saying, “You’re the original, it makes sense,” Kwon Eun-bi confidently added, “I’m the best, that’s why!” causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Reflecting on her first Waterbomb appearance, she shared, “I had no idea it would become such a big deal. I was incredibly nervous, and I didn’t expect people to recognize me from that performance.”
When asked about her rise in commercials, she confirmed, “Yes, I shot a lot of ads after Waterbomb.” KCM jokingly added, “And bought a building too.” Kwon Eun-bi, who previously revealed she became a building owner thanks to her post-Waterbomb fame, smiled in acknowledgment.
Asked if her building purchase was funded purely from Waterbomb success, she clarified, “I was already earning before, but I think about 70% of my total income came after Waterbomb. I got so many ads and event offers, and since I’m solo, I didn’t have to split the income.”
Despite her successful solo career, Kwon Eun-bi shared that she would still choose group promotions if given the chance. “At the end of the day, when time passes, what you’re left with is people,” she said, emphasizing the value of relationships over solo fame.
Kwon Eun-bi shared that she tested more than 20 bikinis to find the ideal look and practiced her routine in the bathroom to perfect her stage performance. Her hard work paid off, earning her the nickname “Waterbomb Goddess” and booking her for over 20 events both in Korea and abroad.
