Lee Da-hae Opens Up About Her Unique Debut Journey and Newlywed Life with Se7en

On January 18, the Kkondae-hee channel uploaded a video titled “Do Everything You Want, Da-hae”, featuring Lee Da-hae as a guest on the Let’s Eat series.
Lee Da-hae, who married singer Se7en in 2023, is currently enjoying the joys of newlywed life. Before the filming, Lee Da-hae revealed that Se7en had called his close friend, Kim Dae-hee, to ask him to take good care of her during the shoot. She added, “He told me that he had spoken well with him and encouraged me to go comfortably.”

In response, Kim Dae-hee joked, “I hung up on him right away. I’m not too fond of that guy,” eliciting laughter.
According to Lee Da-hae, Se7en is currently running a golf channel. She recounted, “Recently, he participated in a tournament with Kim Dae-hee and Kim Jun-ho, and I heard that Kim Dae-hee got hit by a golf ball.” She then asked, “I was really worried—are you okay?”
Kim Dae-hee, in his “Kkondae-hee” persona, quipped, “It was Kim Dae-hee’s face that got hit, so why are you asking me if I’m okay? I don’t know,” drawing big laughs from the crew.

On this day, Lee Da-hae also shared a special story about her debut. She revealed that she immigrated to Australia with her family during elementary school. She said, “I came to Korea briefly during high school, and my relatives told me, ‘You’ve grown up so beautifully.’ I used to be part of the KBS children’s musical choir and practiced traditional Korean dance. At that time, KBS was holding the Miss Chunhyang pageant, so I submitted a photo of myself wearing my aunt’s hanbok.”
She continued, “My goal back then was to win the award for overseas Koreans. I planned to use the prize money for my plane ticket, go back to Australia, and graduate. But somehow, I ended up winning the grand prize. That’s when I started dreaming of becoming an entertainer. So after finishing high school, I came to Korea alone. I stayed with friends and auditioned until I was cast in Lotus Flower Fairy,” sharing the dramatic story of her debut.
