Lee Dong-hwi’s agency Company On also acknowledged the breakup, saying, “It’s true they have parted ways. However, details are hard to confirm. They plan to maintain a friendly relationship as colleagues.”
The couple, who had been one of the entertainment industry’s longest-standing relationships since going public in 2015, continues to follow each other on social media despite the breakup.
Throughout their relationship, the two often expressed affection for each other in interviews and broadcast appearances.
In August, Lee Dong-hwi appeared on ENA and EBS’s “Kwak Taxitrip 2”, where he mentioned Jung Ho-yeon during a conversation with a local taxi driver who recognized her from “Squid Game”.
He affectionately described her as “my girlfriend and best friend“, drawing attention for his sweet remark. Similarly, Jung Ho-yeon proudly shared on the “Pinggyego” content of the YouTube channel “DdeunDdeun” in April how she got David Beckham’s autograph for Lee Dong-hwi.
Meanwhile, Lee Dong-hwi has been cast in Disney+’s drama “Low Life”, while Jung Ho-yeon is set to appear in director Kim Jee-woon’s “The Hole” and director Na Hong-jin’s “Hope”.
