In comedian Lee Guk-joo‘s latest YouTube video titled “Mom Visits My Tokyo Studio | Home Tour & Life Update,” Lee gave viewers an honest look into her Tokyo lifestyle, clearing up speculation around why she left Korea.
“I saw some comments saying that I can make this video because I have money. To be honest, it’s not like I don’t have money. I’m saying this with pride. I’ve worked really hard to get here. I even sold my camper before moving,” she confessed. Lee added that her life in Japan isn’t luxurious, saying, “If I had everything I wanted, I wouldn’t be hustling here either.”

But the juiciest part? While out dining at an omakase restaurant with friends, Lee struck up a conversation with a local man at the next table.
“There was a Japanese guy sitting in the corner—he probably overheard us and laughed. I’m a comedian, right? So of course, I wanted to make him laugh even more, haha. We ended up getting closer and exchanged Instagram,” she shared.

That’s when her mom cheekily added, “She’s getting married.” Lee shot back, “I can’t get married alone, you know.”
The candid chat quickly turned into a hilarious back-and-forth about marriage pressure, with Lee teasing, “So people think I came to Japan to get married now?” Her mom joked in return, “This is like the Japanese version of My Ugly Duckling.”
While nothing is confirmed, fans are loving this playful side of Lee Guk-joo—and are definitely keeping an eye on that mystery man.
