Years later, in 2013, Lee Hyori married singer Lee Sang-soon. The couple lived in Jeju Island for 11 years before deciding to move back to Seoul. Lee Sang-soon shared the couple’s reasons for returning in a YouTube video, explaining that both he and Lee Hyori wanted to be closer to their roots and focus on their careers. He also noted that while life in Jeju was peaceful, it became increasingly difficult with the responsibilities of rural living. He humorously added, “Living in Jeju, nothing could be delivered. I had to cook every meal, which surprisingly made me healthier. But in Seoul, there’s a variety of options, and it’s so good.”
