YouTuber and former journalist Lee Jin-ho has spoken out after the court issued a temporary three-month ban on him broadcasting content related to the late actress Kim Sae Ron and her family. While the court’s decision was announced on March 31, Lee has made it clear that he does not accept the ruling as a result of any legal wrongdoing.

In a comment on his YouTube channel Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho, posted under the video titled “Clearing Kim Sae Ron’s Name… Why Isn’t Kim Soo-hyun Being Sued?”, he stated,

“I’d like to clarify that the court’s temporary injunction wasn’t based on any confirmed charges or falsehoods. This has already been made clear by the investigative authorities.”

Lee added that he has not yet been summoned or investigated for either the initial defamation complaint or the latest stalking allegations filed by Kim Sae Ron’s family.

“This issue has become a social flashpoint, so I believe the court granted the injunction as a precautionary measure. Importantly, the court also confirmed that my broadcasts regarding Kim Sae Ron do not contain false information — which means I can continue reporting the truth.”

Disputes False Claims, Cites “Truth Being Suppressed”

Lee pushed back against one of the key claims used to justify the court order — that Kim Sae Ron had allegedly taken her own life the same day he published a video in January. According to Lee, the timeline was fabricated.

“They claimed she made an extreme choice on January 8, the day I uploaded a video — but records show she was actually in the U.S. at the time. That lie is now exposed.”

He criticized the ban as a form of silencing, stating, “They want to stop me from even defending myself against their accusations.”

Lee also said he is considering an appeal to challenge the decision and clarify the facts.

“Why are they trying so hard to shut me up? I will reveal the truth that someone out there clearly fears.”

Earlier that day, Kwon Young-chan, head of the Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association, told media outlets that the court had recognized Lee’s behavior as stalking and thus issued the ban. Lee is now prohibited from producing content related to Kim Sae Ron and her family for three months.

The family of the late actress has accused Lee of spreading false narratives and negative public opinion, which they claim worsened her mental health leading up to her death. They have filed legal charges against him for defamation and stalking.

Lee responded to the situation by referencing Garo Sero Institute’s Kim Se Ui, noting that Kim has faced similar court orders multiple times and implying that he, too, would navigate the legal challenges with experience and resolve.

As this high-profile legal and public feud escalates, the controversy surrounding Kim Sae Ron’s tragic death and its complex web of accusations continues to grip the Korean entertainment industry — now pulling in media figures, legal experts, and fellow celebrities alike.
