According to industry insiders on Nov 18th, both Lee Jin-wook and Hyeri are positively reviewing their participation in “Esquire”.
“Esquire” is a legal drama centered around the cases and conflicts of lawyers at a large law firm. The series will be directed by PD Kim Jae-hong, known for SBS’s drama “Flex X Cop”, and is scheduled to begin filming in March next year. The drama will be produced by Channel S and broadcast on JTBC.

The title “Esquire”, a term commonly used in English-speaking countries to refer to lawyers, reflects the central theme of the drama. Both Lee Jin-wook and Hyeri will portray lawyers, marking their first collaboration and raising anticipation for their on-screen chemistry.
Lee Jin-wook, who recently garnered praise for his role as Hyun-oh in Genie TV’s original drama “Dear Hyeri”, is also set to appear in Netflix’s “Squid Game 2” next month. His transformation into a lawyer in “Esquire” is expected to showcase a new side of his charm. Having previously portrayed professional characters in dramas like “Nine” and “Dear Hyeri”, Lee Jin-wook’s charisma in “Esquire” is eagerly anticipated. Meanwhile, Lee Jin-wook faced intense criticisms for his past sexual assault accusations.
Hyeri’s casting as a lawyer is another highlight. After debuting as a member of Girl’s Day in 2010, Hyeri gained widespread recognition as an actress through “Reply 1988”. She has steadily built her acting career with roles in dramas such as “Two Cops”, “Miss Lee” and “May I Help You?”, as well as films like “Monstrum”, “My Punch-Drunk Boxer” and “Victory”. Her first-ever role as a lawyer in “Esquire” is expected to unveil a fresh facet of her acting.
