Lee Min-ho & Gong Hyo-jin’s Kisses in “When The Stars Gossip”: Not Romantic At All? 

Recently, Lee Min-ho and Gong Hyo-jin appeared together on a YouTube show to promote their ongoing K-drama, “When the Stars Gossip” (previously known as “Ask the Stars”). 

In this series, Lee Min-ho assumed the role of Gong Ryong, an obstetrician and prospective son-in-law for the largest chaebol group MZ, who has a secret mission. To complete this mission, he pays a large sum of money to visit a space station as a tourist, but ends up meeting Eve Kim (played by Gong Hyo-jin) – a space scientist working there. 

As the show premises is on a space station, most of the kiss scenes had to give the illusion of having no gravity. This leads to a not-so-romantic process while filming these scenes, which was disclosed by Lee Min-ho and Gong Hyo-jin themselves. 

In particular, Gong Hyo-jin shared that there were stuntmen wearing greenscreen holding them up for space scenes. 

“Even during kiss scenes, they’ll be holding us from behind”, the actress said while depicting the action of holding with her hands. 

According to Lee Min-ho, the stuntmen would even push them together to eliminate space while they kiss. While Gong Hyo-jin talked about looking down in the middle of a kiss and finding various people below, looking up as they hold the two of them in place. 

It seems that the passionate kisses in “When the Stars Gossips” are not at all romantic in real life.

In the same show, Gong Hyo-jin also mentioned the “disappointing” marriage proposal from her husband, Kevin Oh, whereas Lee Min-ho revealed his thoughts on marriage and ideal partner.
