It is recently reported that Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in, who got married in 2023 and welcomed their daughter in February last year, moved into UN Village in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, a representative luxury residential complex in Seoul.

The area also housed various other celebrities, including EXO’s Baekhyun.

According to media outlet Edaily on January 6th, Lee Seung-gi signed a lease contract for a 255㎡2 (approx 2744 square feet) villa for 10.5 billion won (approx 6.8 million USD) in August of last year. The contract period is until August of next year.

This deal was reportedly the highest ever in the real estate market last year.

Meanwhile, Biz Hankook previously reported that Lee Seung-gi purchased a 618 m2 (approx 6652 square feet) land in Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul for about 9.4 billion won (approx 6.4 billion USD) on May 23rd.

The land was sold to Lee Seung-gi by Jeju Beer founder & former CEO Moon Hyuk-ki’s father Moon and mother Kang. At the time of the purchase, Shinhan Bank set up a collateral security right with a maximum bond of 7.8 billion won. Lee Seung-gi’s purchase loan is estimated to be 6.5 billion won.

The one-person agency founded by singer Jang Bum-joon is near the land Lee Seung-gi purchased. Across the street is the land of CJ Group’s 4th generation owner with a detached house under construction.

Jangchung-dong is considered a traditional village as many families have lived there since the 1960s. CJ Group, Shilla Hotel and Samsung families have or are still holding real estate in this area. The Jangchung-dong business district is going through some changes. As the MZ Generation is flocking to this place due to newly opened cafes and brand stores, Jangchung-dong has gained the nickname “Hipchung-dong”. Many believe that Lee Seung-gi purchased land there because of this change.

Lee Seung-gi already owns a lot of real estates. He bought a new apartment in Samsung-dong with 2.6 billion won in 2009. The apartment is currently priced at around 5 billion won. At the end of 2021, he also purchased a luxury Seongbuk-dong house, known as a rich village, with 5.6 billion won.

Meanwhile, Lee Seung-gi is also facing changes in his life. Overcoming the dispute with his former agency Hook Entertainment, he moved to Big Planet Made founded by MC Mong. Recently, he faced harsh criticism as the court decided to overturn the verdict on the stock manipulation of his father-in-law.
