Lee Si-young’s Past Remarks Resurface After Divorce News: “My Husband Changed After Marriage”

Lee Si-young married restaurateur Jo Seung-hyun in August 2017, and they welcomed their son, Jung-yoon, in January 2018. However, after eight years of marriage, the couple has decided to go their separate ways.
Back in January 2021, Lee Si-young appeared on the MBC variety show “Omniscient Interfering View,” where she was seen going on an early morning run with singer Sean and former soccer players Lee Young-pyo and Cho Won-hee.

During the show, Lee Young-ja asked, “Does your passion and diligence ever cause conflicts between you and your husband?” to which Lee Si-young responded, “My ideal type was someone who enjoys working out. Isn’t that great?”
She then revealed, “Before we got married, my husband used to go running with me every morning at dawn. Even when I ran at 4 AM, he would come out and run with me. But after we got married, he never ran with me again. Instead, he told me, “I really don’t understand you.” Her comment made everyone laugh.

Jeon Hyun-moo jokingly said, “His goal was to get married.” Yang Se-hyung added, “For him, that was all just training.”
Lee Si-young continued, “Now, he just tells me to have a good run and goes back to sleep, even though he always says he should go too.”
She also shared a humorous story about her husband and their son, Jung-yoon.
“My husband does try to play with our son Jung-yoon in his own way, but they argue a lot. He gets sulky. If my husband says, “Jung-yoon, this looks delicious. Can Daddy have one?” and eats it, Jung-yoon gets upset and says, “Why did you eat my food?” Then my husband goes, “I bought this with my money.” It is so funny to listen to. But then Jung-yoon argues, “No, Mommy bought it.” And my husband replies, “Mommy bought it, but with my money. In fact, I also bought your toys.” That’s when I step in and tell him to stop.”
