Ex-Girlfriend Kim Min-hee Welcomes a Child Amid Affair Scandal, While Lee Soo-hyuk Prioritizes Career Over Marriage

Lee Soo-hyuk appeared as a guest on Lee Yong-jin’s YouTube channel on April 9. During the episode, Lee Yong-jin asked, “Do you think you’ll ever get married?” To this, Lee Soo-hyuk replied “I should, someday” but trailed off. He added, “My parents have never stopped me, but they also never bring up the topic of marriage. It’s obvious I’m only focused on work. I don’t even have the space to think about marriage right now.”

Consulting tarot cards, Lee Yong-jin advised, “This is definitely not the time to get married. You need to focus on work.” Lee Soo-hyuk agreed “Right now, I’m really hungry for work”, affirming that his current priority lies in his career rather than settling down. Lee Yong-jin encouraged this mindset, saying, “You’re entering a golden period for work. It’s going to be incredibly fun and fulfilling.”

Lee Soo-hyuk began his career as a model in 2006 and later transitioned into an active acting career. He previously made headlines for his public relationship with actress Kim Min-hee. The two began dating in 2008 but broke up in 2010 due to busy schedules. At the time, Kim Min-hee’s agency BH Entertainment stated “They ended their relationship recently due to their busy schedules”, and Lee Soo-hyuk’s agency also confirmed the split.

Meanwhile, Kim Min-hee was recently reported to have given birth to a son. According to industry insiders on April 8, she is currently recovering at a postpartum care center in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province. Kim Min-hee has been in a cohabiting relationship with director Hong Sang-soo since publicly acknowledging their affair in 2017. The child is expected to be registered as an out-of-wedlock son under Hong Sang-soo’s family registry. Notably, Hong Sang-soo previously filed for divorce from his wife but lost the case in 2019.
