On May 16th, a video was posted on the YouTube channel ‘Everyday Is Thursday Night’ featuring actress Lee Sung-kyung. In the released video, Lee Sung-kyung had a fun talk with MC Cho Hyun-ah.
Cho Hyun-ah said towards Lee Sung-kyung, “I think other people will see you as a gold spoon (people born into a rich family).” Then, Lee Sung-kyung coolly admitted, “I am a gold spoon,” and, “I grew up receiving a lot of love.”
Cho Hyun-ah agreed, saying, “You’re such a sweetheart. I don’t think there’s as much driving force in your life as your parents’ love.”
Lee bragged, “My parents taught me to dream without being swayed even when I was having a hard time, and I grew up in a family where I could learn to keep watching forward and praying when I was having a hard time.” Then, Cho Hyun-ah exclaimed, “This (parents’ love) is the real gold spoon.”
Meanwhile, Lee also talked about how she became a model. “I did it as my mom and dad suddenly asked me to apply for the show ‘Supermodel’,” Lee said. She added, “I won a special prize in the show. And I only went to ‘Asia Supermodel’ and made it to the top 11.”
Asked by Cho Hyun-ah, “Why did you think of becoming an actress?” Lee Sung-kyung replied, “I had no intention of acting, but suddenly the director of ‘It’s Okay, That’s Love’ contacted me.”
