Actress Lee Young-ae is warming hearts with her candid confession about her enduring love for husband Jung Ho-young, who is 21 years her senior. Appearing on Hong Jin-kyung’s Study King Genius on April 24, the 54-year-old star charmed viewers when asked about her “last kiss.”

With a warm smile, she revealed, “Every day. I kissed him yesterday, too.” When host Hong Jin-kyung asked if it was a real kiss, not just a peck, Lee laughed and said, “It goes back and forth.” To that, Hong exclaimed, “It must be a house full of happiness.”
Lee, who married the businessman in 2009 and gave birth to fraternal twins in 2011, described their relationship as one full of minor bickering and deep affection. “We fight over small things, like whether the door was left open or closed,” she shared, adding that the tone of the conversation shifts between formal and informal depending on their mood.
Life in Yangpyeong with her children brought her joy, and Lee reminisced about the rustic lifestyle where she farmed vegetables and cooked home meals. However, she also faced criticism for showcasing her private life on YouTube, with comments like “Did Lee Young-ae run out of money?” and “Why show her husband too?” Yet for Lee, sharing those moments was meaningful. Her daughter even cried once for not being shown enough on screen.

Now in her 50s, Lee shows no signs of slowing down. “I want to try out every kind of role and character that’s fun and diverse,” she said, reflecting a renewed passion for acting. She also revealed she considered having a third child in her early 40s and recalled her natural childbirth at 40, joking about how her doctor once said she became the “public enemy of daughters-in-law.”
At home, she manages her children’s schedules, cycles with her daughter, and supports her daughter’s passion for vocal music. “She didn’t go to an English kindergarten, and I don’t regret that decision,” Lee said.
