Lisa Delivers Fierce Visuals but Faces Live Vocal Hurdles at Coachella 2025 Week 2

On April 18, Lisa (BLACKPINK) returned for her second week of performances at Coachella 2025.
Performing once again at the Sahara Stage with the same 13-song setlist that made headlines the previous week, Lisa captivated audiences with a visually stunning show. In the intro set featuring “Thunder + FUTW + LALISA,” she appeared in a fierce new dragon-warrior look—this time trading her silver bodysuit for a bold red version, amplifying the stage’s visual impact. Lisa’s explosive visual presence commanded attention from the moment she stepped on stage.

However, her second Coachella stage saw a noticeable dip in vocal performance. From the first song, Lisa seemed breathless during rap parts, skipped lines, and was often overpowered by the backing track. The music volume was noticeably higher than in week one, making it easier to pick up on her shaky live vocals during the livestream. Audio issues also plagued the stream, with noticeable syncing problems where the audio lagged behind or led the video, reducing overall viewing quality.

Adding to the chaos, a cameraman tripped and fell face-first while filming the moment Lisa removed her outer jacket—a moment that startled viewers. Nonetheless, drawing from her experience during week one, Lisa remained calm and professional, continuing her performance unfazed despite wardrobe malfunctions, a dropped mic, and even a cameraman collapse.
Lisa maintained her visual-heavy production, switching between the dragon-warrior outfit and a sporty, feminine look for songs like “New Woman” and “I’m Here With You.” However, vocally demanding tracks such as “Dream” and “Moonlit Floor” again highlighted her vocal instability.

Staying true to the Alter Ego concept, Lisa delivered a wide range of striking personas. Most anticipated was her transformation into Speedi. While last week’s fiery red outfit revealing her lower back dominated headlines, week two saw her in a more colorful black outfit adorned with sequins and glitter. Iconic choreographies from “Elastigirl” and “Money” returned, visually electrifying the stage. Still, compared to the bold red outfit from week one, the sex appeal felt slightly toned down.

Among all her Coachella costumes, only the intricate neon-lit outfit made a return. In week two, the most standout looks were the red dragon warrior ensemble and the silver cheerleader outfit for “New Woman,” both of which highlighted Lisa’s top-tier visuals.

Before the second week’s performance, a photo of Lisa praying by the stairs—taken during week one—went viral. Reflecting Thai cultural traditions, Lisa is known to be deeply spiritual before major events. She took time to center herself, praying for luck and smooth performances. With her dedication, stage investment, and serious training, Lisa wrapped up two unforgettable weeks at Coachella, marking a historic solo appearance at the world’s biggest music festival. This milestone stands as a defining moment in Lisa’s nine-year artistic journey.

After her headline-grabbing performance during Coachella 2025 Week 1, Lisa has become one of the most talked-about artists of the festival. Clips of her performance quickly went viral, particularly for her powerful dance breaks and confident charisma. Many praised her for pushing the envelope and embracing a bolder, more mature concept, noting her global star power. However, Lisa’s performance also sparked some controversy. While many applauded her daring fashion and choreography, others—especially in Korean online communities—expressed discomfort, calling parts of the performance “too provocative.”
