On March 10, acting coach Krungor, who worked together with BLACKPINK’s Lisa on “The White Lotus” Season 3, published several photos of herself with the female idol, along with a long caption praising Lisa on Instagra.
In particular, the acting coach tagged Lisa and wrote, “The day I was contacted about Lisa coming to study, I was extremely excited because I truly admire her in every aspect her talent, mindset, and heart. When I met her, I can sincerely say that I was not disappointed at all.”
According to the coach, Lisa is a radiant, lovable, humble, and quick-witted girl. She also had high praise for Lisa, saying that at first, the female idol was nervous since she had never acted before and didn’t know how to position herself, at the same time had a tendency to perform rather than truly immerse herself in the role. However, with Lisa’s natural sense of rhythm as a dancer and artist, the coach guided Lisa through repeated exercises, helping her connect with what was in front of her and react to it.
“This exercise usually takes time to master, but Lisa grasped it on the very first attempt”, the coach also said, adding, “After that, I taught her how to interpret characters and their contexts. Once she understood, her charm truly shone. Even when we were just playing around and reacting together, I couldn’t stop smiling at the sparkle in her eyes. If I had to list everything that impressed me about her, I would probably never stop. I want everyone to watch her in #TheWhiteLotus and experience it for themselves“, the coach concluded.
Thoughts on Acting Debut
On February 16, in an interview released by TheWrap, BLACKPINK’s Lisa spoke about her experience starring in HBO’s hit drama “The White Lotus (Season 3).”
Despite her experience performing on the world’s biggest stages with BLACKPINK, Lisa admitted that she was extremely nervous during her audition for the drama. She explained, “I wanted to open a new chapter in my life through acting. I loved the series, so when the opportunity came, I thought I should at least give it a try, even if I wasn’t confident.”
According to the HBO production team, Lisa’s name was recommended by a co-producer and the casting director during auditions in Thailand. However, at the time, the executive producer and showrunner were not familiar with Lisa or BLACKPINK. They recalled, “We auditioned Lisa under the same standards as other actors.”
Lisa further shared, “After submitting a video tape, I was invited for an audition. I then had an in-person audition before being cast. It was a completely new world for me. There were a lot of close-up shots and filming from different angles. I had so much fun throughout the process.”
On February 16, Lisa made her acting debut in The White Lotus Season 3, which premiered on HBO and Max. Fans praised her natural performance and versatility, noting how effortlessly she transitioned from the stage to the screen. Many highlighted her acting skills, presence, and distinct voice, expressing excitement for her future in acting.
