Lisa Speaks Out on Disturbing Encounters with Sasaeng Fans, Revealing Her Fear and Anxiety

On February 27, Lisa sat down for an exclusive interview with renowned Thai entertainer Woody Milintachinda as part of the promotional activities for her album Alter Ego.

During their 30-minute conversation, Woody asked Lisa if there were any incidents in her decade-long career that had significantly impacted her or triggered anxiety. In response, Lisa revealed that she had personally encountered sasaeng fans, an experience she had previously only heard male idols talk about.

Lisa recounted a particularly frightening incident that occurred last year. After landing in South Korea and greeting fans at the airport, she returned home alone, only to find someone waiting for her outside. Feeling deeply uncomfortable, she asked the individual to leave, but the experience left her shaken. Later, upon reviewing the CCTV footage of her residence, Lisa was struck with fear, realizing just how vulnerable she was in that moment.

Another alarming incident took place as she was getting into a taxi from her home. A persistent individual attempted to follow her and even used their leg to block the car door from closing. This brazen intrusion left Lisa feeling so unsafe that she asked her female manager to live with her for a period to provide additional security and peace of mind.

Lisa also revealed that such invasions of privacy are not limited to South Korea. Even at her residence in Los Angeles, she has faced similar threats, leaving her feeling insecure and unsafe in public. The constant fear of being followed or harmed by strangers has taken a toll on her sense of personal security.

This isn’t the first time a top K-pop idol has opened up about terrifying experiences with obsessive fans. Not long ago, during a guest appearance on a Japanese show, Jaejoong (former member of DBSK) revealed that he once bought a Ferrari supercar just so he could accelerate quickly and escape from stalker fans chasing him. However, one particularly relentless fan went as far as purchasing an equally fast supercar just to keep up with him.
Even more disturbingly, another obsessive fan spent a fortune just to be as close to Jaejoong as possible. This person bought an apartment in the building directly across from his and used a telescope to spy on his home every day. As a result, the singer had to keep his curtains closed year-round, living in a constant state of alert, even within his own house.
Lisa’s revelations highlight the dark side of fame, where personal boundaries are often disregarded by overzealous fans. Her courage in speaking out brings attention to the importance of stronger security measures for public figures and greater awareness of the emotional and psychological impact of such invasive behavior.
