The work has faced backlash from some conservative groups due to its portrayal of homosexuality.

In this regard, Park Sang-young conveyed a positive mindset, “I posted on SNS out of frustration, but I thought, ‘How much are they trying to publicize our work? It’s Lucky Vicky, isn’t it? Don’t successful works cause controversy?

Nam Yoon-su stated that he does not pay attention to the negative reactions from certain groups. He remarked, “When hate comments come in, I just laugh them off. Instead, I get a lot of supportive messages. I wake up to about 100 of them each morning.”
