On November 20, Lee Mi-joo appeared as a guest on a YouTube talk show alongside Kim Hee-chul.

When asked about Lovelyz’s members who attract new fans, Mijoo said, “For Lovelyz, it’s definitely Kei and Sujeong. When they bring in new fans, the rest of us feel motivated to work even harder.”

The female idol also added that her roles in the group included main dancer, sub-vocalist, and visual.

Hearing this, Kim Hee-chul humorously disagreed, saying, “Isn’t Yein all three of those?”, to which Mijoo replied, “I was firstly a fan of Yein. Our positions, parts, and choreography are similar. Whenever we needed to showcase a performance, Yein and I often teamed up.”

Then, Kim Hee-chul praised Mi-joo’s dancing skills, saying, “Mijoo is a truly excellent dancer,” while Mijoo showcased her charm as a main dancer, captivating everyone.

Afterward, Kim Hee-chul brought up Mijoo’s name change, which the female idol confirmed, stating, “My original name was Lee Mi-joo, but I changed it to Lee Seung-ah. However, I’ve asked people not to call me Seung-ah on broadcasts. Only those close to me use Seung-ah, while I continue to work as ‘Mijoo’ publicly.”

When asked why she changed her name, she explained, “My mom suggested that changing my name could improve my circumstances, so I decided to go for it.”

According to Mijoo, the name change ended up fixing her life, which greatly surprised her. “It was amazing. After changing my name, I started getting more opportunities to showcase myself”, she said.

The female idol also mentioned that the name change happened around 5–6 years ago, to which Kim Hee-chul commented, “That’s around the time you met Yoo Jae-suk.” Mi-joo agreed, saying, “It was during that time. After changing my name, things really improved.”

Finally, when asked in a game, “Yoon Sang vs. Yoo Jae-suk—Who’s the most influential person in your career?”, Mi-joo credited her agency’s CEO for discovering her, adding, “Yoon Sang might have shaped Lovelyz, but Yoo Jae-suk made me who I am as a variety show entertainer.”

Mi-joo then expressed her gratitude toward Yoo Jae-suk, saying, “While working together, he recognized my hard work and gave me a lot of advice.
