On Nov 26th, Min Hee-jin‘s side stated, “Yesterday (Nov 25th), we filed a complaint with the Yongsan Police Station against HYBE’s Chief Communication Officer Park Tae-hee and HYBE’s PR Director Jo Sung-hoon for breach of duty.”

They further explained, “These individuals, as part of HYBE’s Shared Services PR organization, held a duty-bound position to promote NewJeans while receiving fees from ADOR. However, instead of fulfilling their responsibilities, they downplayed the group’s achievements, causing significant harm to both ADOR and NewJeans. We hope for criminal penalties appropriate to their wrongdoing.”

Currently, Min Hee-jin has announced her intention to resign as an internal director at ADOR. Additionally, she has filed lawsuits against executives of HYBE’s subsidiary label Belift Lab, including CEO Kim Tae-ho, for defamation under the Information and Communication Network Act. She has also claimed damages amounting to 5 billion KRW.

Min Hee-jin has been embroiled in a legal dispute with HYBE since April, as the two parties have maintained sharply opposing positions. At the time, HYBE initiated an audit of ADOR’s management, led by Min Hee-jin, accusing them of acts such as breach of duty and attempting to seize managerial control. Min, however, countered that the core conflict stemmed from HYBE’s label Belift Lab allegedly plagiarizing NewJeans’ concept for its group ILLIT.

Ultimately, HYBE dismissed Min Hee-jin from her position as CEO on Aug 27th and appointed her as an internal director instead. Subsequently, on Oct 30th, ADOR’s board of directors rejected Min’s proposal to reinstate her as CEO.
