On December 2, Dispatch reported on circumstances that suggested Min Hee-jin had made false claims. The report highlighted four main issues.
Allegation 1: Tampering Suspicions with NewJeans Member’s Uncle
Dispatch raised suspicions of tampering, revealing that Min Hee-jin had met with the actual owner of Dabory Link, who reportedly tried to appoint a NewJeans member’s uncle as an executive director. This contradicts Min Hee-jin’s prior statements. In November, her team denied rumors of collaboration with any investors, stating, “The claim that I received investment or signed a contract with someone is completely untrue.”

Amid rumors in the industry that the KOSDAQ-listed company DAVOLINK was recruiting Min Hee-jin, it was also alleged that the company attempted to appoint the uncle as an executive director before abruptly canceling the plan. Despite this, Dispatch revealed photos from September 30 showing a three-way meeting between Min Hee-jin, Dabory Link’s chairman, and the uncle in question.
Allegation 2: Involvement in NewJeans’ Sudden Live Broadcast
Dispatch also questioned Min Hee-jin’s involvement in NewJeans’ unexpected live broadcast on September 11, providing text messages exchanged between Min Hee-jin and a NewJeans member’s family.

According to the messages, Min Hee-jin appeared to be aware of the exact broadcast time and referenced controversies surrounding HYBE. However, during the broadcast, NewJeans denied any connection with Min Hee-jin, and her team previously claimed she had discouraged the live event.
Allegation 3: Knowledge of NewJeans Member Hanni’s National Assembly Testimony
NewJeans member Hanni announced on October 9 her intention to testify at a National Assembly hearing, stating it was her independent decision. However, Dispatch reported that Hanni met Min Hee-jin and her legal representatives the day before the testimony, raising questions about Min Hee-jin’s involvement.

Allegation 4: Attempt to Seduce a HYBE Executive
Dispatch accused Min Hee-jin of attempting unethical means to bring NewJeans to ADOR. It disclosed messages suggesting that Min Hee-jin had tried to gain favor with a senior HYBE executive to secure the transfer of NewJeans. While Dispatch noted that her efforts were ultimately blocked, it claimed she succeeded in transferring NewJeans to ADOR.

Following the report, Min Hee-jin announced lawsuits against Dispatch reporters and HYBE executives, alleging defamation and the use of illegally obtained private conversations to create negative public sentiment against her. She emphasized that she expects a thorough investigation and accountability for what she called falsehoods and deception.
Criticism Over Lack of Detailed Explanations
Despite the mounting evidence, including photographs and text messages, Min Hee-jin has not provided specific rebuttals or clarifications. Instead, her focus has been on lawsuits, which some view as an attempt to silence the media.

Min Hee-jin has been criticized for repeatedly pressuring media outlets through legal threats. Reports suggest her PR firm, M Consulting Group, has sent multiple requests for article retractions, warning of potential lawsuits. This pattern of action has raised concerns about her approach to handling public scrutiny.
