(G)I-DLE’s Minnie and Yuqi will showcase their candid humor and charisma in the upcoming episode of “Salon Drip 2”, drawing laughter and curiosity with revelations about wealth, superstition and personal finance.

At the end of the May 6 episode, the teaser clip featuring the two global idols gave fans a taste of what’s to come. In it, Minnie made a bold confession that had fans talking. Referring to her family’s background, she stated, “When I go to Thailand, I’m kind of a big deal. As soon as I arrive at the airport, it gets crazy.”

Previously, it had been revealed that Minnie’s grandparents own a resort in Thailand, prompting fans and media alike to refer to her as a “golden spoon” idol — a Korean term for someone born into wealth.

But the segment wasn’t all about glamor. Minnie added a mystical twist, “Since I was little, there’s been a personal fortune-teller who looks after me. Some use tarot cards, others read numbers.” Yuqi, however, wasn’t buying it, responding with a laugh, “I don’t really believe in that stuff. I have to live my life on my own.”

The conversation then shifted to money management — and Yuqi surprised everyone by revealing her interest in finance. “Bank employees have told me I manage money better than most Koreans,” she said. “I love keeping up with hot financial products like bonds and funds.” When host Jang Do-yeon asked if she’d profited from her investments, Yuqi responded not with words, but with an enthusiastic cheer.

On a more serious note, the two members touched on their contract renewal with Cube Entertainment, which all (G)I-DLE members completed in December 2024. However, Yuqi expressed some dissatisfaction, “It’s nice to invite people to our concerts, but having to pay out of pocket? That doesn’t sit right with me.” Jang quipped, “Why didn’t you include that in your new contract?” to which both Minnie and Yuqi burst out laughing, saying in unison, “We forgot!”

With both laughter and real talk, the Salon Drip 2 appearance is yet another reminder of (G)I-DLE’s relatability and charm beyond the stage.
