In the 18th episode of “Moo No Plan 2”, set to air on February 21, Kim Sung-ryung teams up with Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube (Kwak Joon-bin) for a food tour in Chuncheon. During the trip, she reminisces about her “Miss Korea” days and shares stories about her charming son.
Following Kim Sung-ryung’s plan, the two MCs visit a pub for the first time in the show’s history. Kim Sung-ryung, who arranged the visit effortlessly, recommends her favorite dish, nurungji set meal, as the pub’s signature menu. Initially taken aback, Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube trust Kim Sung-ryung’s taste and are soon captivated by its nostalgic flavors.
As they reminisce, Jun Hyun-moo recalls Kim Sung-ryung’s past as Miss Korea during the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Kim Sung-ryung shares, “I was interested in the entertainment industry from a young age, so I once followed my mom’s friend to a boutique in Myeong-dong. The designer saw me and immediately said, ‘You’re a Miss Korea!’ and took me straight to ‘Se* Salon’ for a haircut.”
She further reveals, “Traditionally, ‘Ma* Salon’ produced all the Miss Korea Jin winners, but I was the first from ‘Se* Salon,’ fulfilling my stylist’s long-held wish. After me, Oh Hyun-kyung and Kim Sa-rang also won the title.”
Intrigued by her stories, Gen Z YouTuber Kwak Tube asks, “How popular was Miss Korea back then?” Kim Sung-ryung responds, “We even had a car parade in Gwanghwamun, and I stood at the very top of the float.”
When the topic of age comes up, Kwak Tube asks about Kim Sung-ryung’s son, and she shares that he is 25 and works as a ski instructor. Kwak Tube comments on how popular he must be, admiring his good looks.
Jun Hyun-moo then asks about her skincare routine, and she candidly reveals that she recently visited the dermatologist, undergoing 900 shots and spending a fortune on self-care, surprising the cast.
