“Mr. Sunshine” Star Kim Min-jung, “I Acted As A Villain Because I Trusted My Face”

As Kim Sa-rang withdrew for health reasons, actress Kim Min-jung took her spot in the hit drama “Mr.Sunshine.” She delicately portrayed the hotel’s heir, Kudo Hina in the drama, which had a top viewer rating of 18.1%. The actress was praised for her detailed and elegant expression and for depicting their inner wounds in three dimensions.

Kim is now 34 years old. She debuted as a child actress in 1990. In an interview, Kim said, “There is a reason that I can freely play as a villain. An acquaintance told me, ‘You will not be criticized because you are nice-looking. In fact, I trust my face and do whatever I want.”

Kim Min-jung shared, “There was a moment when acting became very painful to me. When I acted, I was told, ‘Good job. You are a genius.’ I had to keep listening to that level of compliments to be able to do anything. If I didn’t hear that, I felt pressure because I felt like I had failed. That’s why it became no fun.”
