“My Song Hye-kyo” Jeon Yeo-bin Overwhelmed by Song Hye-kyo’s Recommendation for ‘Dark Nuns’ Co-star

On Jan 14th, Jeon Yeo-bin appeared as a guest on SBS PowerFM’s “Park Ha-sun’s Cinetown” to promote the film “Dark Nuns”.
Regarding her on-screen chemistry with Song Hye-kyo, Jeon Yeo-bin said, “People my age all grew up watching Song Hye-kyo’s works. From ‘Autumn in My Heart’, ‘That Winter, the Wind Blows’, ‘Full House’ to ‘The Glory’. It was amazing to work with her.“

When asked by Park Ha-sun “Is it true that Song Hye-kyo recommended you for the role of Michaela?“, Jeon Yeo-bin responded, “I wasn’t aware initially, but I heard about it somewhere. Song Hye-kyo said that after seeing the role of Michaela, she thought of me and recommended me. Isn’t that such a wonderful thing? It’s incredible when someone thinks of you for a role after seeing it.“
Describing “Dark Nuns”, Jeon Yeo-bin said, “It’s an occult drama that conveys the power of solidarity. It’s a film that reflects on the value of life rather than fear.”

Regarding her character Michaela, Jeon Yeo-bin shared, “She is a disciple of Father Paolo (played by Lee Jin-wook) and specializes in psychiatry. She meets Sister Junia (played by Song Hye-kyo), and as the story progresses, she navigates her beliefs and conflicts between the two characters. She becomes curious about Junia’s bold actions and supports her while adding strength to her journey.”
Jeon Yeo-bin also revealed, “I call Song Hye-kyo ‘my Junia’. I have a habit of calling people who are precious to me ‘my [name]’. Song Hye-kyo is that kind of person to me.”
Previously, Song Hye-kyo shared on Kang Min-kyung’s channel, “It’s true that I recommended Jeon Yeo-bin for the role of Sister Michaela in ‘Dark Nuns’. Yeo-bin also wanted to work with me and was looking for a work, so she said okay. She saw the script well, too.”
Meanwhile, “Dark Nuns”, starring Song Hye-kyo and Jeon Yeo-bin, is set to premiere on Jan 24th.
