Riku, a member of the boy group NCT WISH, is taking a break from activities due to health concerns. On October 22, SM Entertainment announced through the fan community, “Riku recently visited the hospital due to poor health, and based on the results of his examination, medical professionals have advised that he needs ample rest and recovery.”
The agency continued, “As the artist’s health is our top priority, we had a careful discussion with Riku and decided to focus on his treatment and recovery.”
Additionally, the agency stated, “Riku will not be participating in any scheduled activities starting today. We will update fans when he is able to return to his activities. We ask for your understanding, especially regarding the upcoming ‘2024 NCT WISH ASIA TOUR: LOG in JAPAN’ starting on November 3, which will proceed with 5 members: Shion, Yushi, Jaehui, Ryo, and Sakuya.”
Meanwhile, NCT WISH, which Riku is a part of, released their first mini album “Steady” on September 24. The group is set to kick off their Asia tour, “LOG in JAPAN”, starting on November 3, to meet with fans.
