K-drama to Air after 4-year Delay
According to a SPOTV News report on March 10th, KBS will release the K-drama “Dear.M” on the “KBS JOY” channel and will air it every Monday and Tuesday at 9:50 PM starting from April 14th.
“Dear.M” is a youth romance drama that revolves around the mysterious “M”, the main character of the Seoyeon University community post that turned Seoyeon University upside down. The cast includes Park Hye-soo, NCT’s Jaehyun, Noh Jung-eui, Bae Hyun-sung, and Lee Jin-hyuk. Originally, it was scheduled to be pre-produced and all filming completed and the first broadcast was scheduled for February 26, 2021, but the first broadcast was canceled right before the broadcast due to allegations of school violence against lead actress Park Hye-soo.
After this, KBS considered rescheduling “Dear.M” several times, but the broadcast could not be pushed forward as the allegations against Park Hye-soo were not resolved. Since “Dear.M” is a youth drama, there was great regret among fans that it was not revealed at the time as it included actors whose debut works were in “Dear.M”, such as the lead actor NCT’s Jaehyun.
Endless Bad Luck Streak
Meanwhile, prreviously, some netizens noticed the unlucky streak suffered by NCT’s Jaehyun, especially after his recent schedules were canceled due to former member Taeil’s scandal.
In particular, it was pointed out that NCT’s Jaehyun’s debut acting project, “Dear M”, was postponed indefinitely due to the school bullying scandal of the leading actress.
Additionally, after Jaehyun secured a second acting project, it was canceled due to the original author changing their mind.
Now, as Jaehyun finally made his solo debut, all of his promotional activities are at risk of canceling due to a former member, Taeil, being investigated for sexual crimes.
On top of it, it was recently revealed that SM is failing to stock Jaehyun’s physical albums, causing fans to be unable to purchase and severely affecting his sales achievements in the first week.
