The legal battle between NewJeans and their agency ADOR continues, as the girl group has filed an immediate appeal following the court’s dismissal of their injunction objection.

On April 16, the Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Division 50, led by Judge Kim Sang-hoon, rejected NewJeans’ objection to the March 21 injunction ruling that affirmed ADOR’s exclusive rights to manage the group. That initial decision banned the five members from engaging in independent promotional activities or signing advertising contracts without ADOR’s approval.
The court reaffirmed ADOR’s managerial authority, effectively halting all solo endeavors by the members and maintaining strict enforcement of the terms in their exclusive contract.
In response, NewJeans‘ legal team swiftly filed an appeal and announced their intention to pursue the matter further. Their legal team stated they will continue to cooperate with the legal process and work to clarify the facts.
