According to Hankyoreh on February 12th, Hanni recently obtained a legal visa through an administrative procedure. A representative handling the process stated, “Hanni has been issued a valid visa through proper procedures.” They further added, “Despite following the designated administrative procedures for visa issuance, numerous false reports have emerged due to the unauthorized disclosure of personal information—details that only the individual or their workplace would know. As a result, complaints have been filed, raising concerns over the lack of protection for personal information and human rights.”

After terminating their contract with ADOR at the end of November last year and changing their group name to NJZ, NewJeans members will participate in a Hong Kong concert this March. This is the group’s first official activity as NJZ and they will also release a new song in Hong Kong.

As soon as NewJeans revealed their new group name, ADOR emphasized their stance once again, “It is illegal that the five members are carrying out independent activities”.

According to insiders in the music industry, the E-6 visa of Hanni, who holds both Australian and Vietnamese citizenship, for her stay in Korea already expired earlier this month.

It is known that ADOR prepared all the documents to extend Hanni’s visa and even tried to apply for her visa extension, however, Hanni herself refused to sign the documents.
