NewJeans Resumes SNS with Emotional Letter to Fans: Will Become People Fans Can Be Proud Of
In the early hours of April 11, NewJeans members used a separate SNS account initially created for individual activities from ADOR (@mhdhh_friends) to post a heartfelt message, which started with, “Hi Bunnies (fans of NewJeans) We received the letters you sent!! They touched our hearts and made us cry ㅠㅠ. Every single letter is so precious, so we read them every day without fail. Your words of comfort, encouragement, and love are so deeply felt how could we not cry ㅠㅠ.”
The members revealed they received a lot of courage from fans, adding, “Honestly, sometimes we’re afraid of receiving so much love. That’s why we try hard to become people that Bunnies can be proud of. We’re going through a tough time right now, but we gain the most strength when we connect with you.”
“We’ve really wanted to talk to you, and the letters you sent have given us so much strength. When we read your letters, we imagine you sitting in front of us, talking directly to us it’s amazing how it really feels that way. Sometimes, it even seems like you know us better than we know ourselves. There are times when I don’t understand my own feelings, but lately, I’ve been trying to feel them more”, they added.
Despite being in the midst of a contractual dispute with ADOR and currently paused from official activities, the members emphasized they are still emotionally present with fans, stating, “Your letters help us look deeper into our hearts and fill us with warmth. Thank you, Bunnies.”
They also expressed their love and mentioned how the members are doing well, sharing, “We love you. Even though you’re worried about us, just thinking about meeting you anytime keeps us going without struggle! We’ll have times soon when we can listen to songs Bunnies love, songs that make you happy, and enjoy those moments together. We’re eating well, sleeping well, listening to music, spending time with our families and members and thinking of Bunnies makes everything better! So Bunnies, please stay healthy and may every day be a happy one. We love you, Bunnies ❤️ YOU’RE MY UNIVERSE.”
Meanwhile, previously on April 4, NewJeans changed their official SNS handle from @njz_official to @mhdhh_friends, presumably using the initials of the members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. All existing posts were deleted.
The group had previously notified their agency ADOR of their intent to terminate their exclusive contracts. Following a court injunction, the members declared a halt to all activities.
Additionally, on April 10, a closed hearing on the agency’s objection to the injunction lasted just 10 minutes. Since member presence was not required, only legal representatives from both sides attended. A final decision from the court is expected soon.
