Recent photos of NewJeans’s Hyein spread in online communities on May 26th. The released picture shows Hyein wearing a comfortable outfit and standing with crutches. She wore a mask but her innocent look still shone.
After suffering a fracture in the top of her foot last month, Hyein has continuously received treatment. However, she was eventually unable to join NewJeans’s comeback promotion with the double single “How Sweet”.
NewJeans’s agency ADOR announced that it would be difficult for Hyein to participate in comeback activities, saying “Although Hyein has been focusing on treatment and recovery, the medical staff advised her to minimize movements that could strain her foot”.
As a result, Hyein is currently resting to recover her condition after the injury. NewJeans is doing music activities and performing at university festivals with four members Minji, Hanni, Danielle and Haerin.

Starting with the performance at Korea University on May 25th, NewJeans will complete a total of 7 university festival schedules at Chosun University, Dongeui University, Pusan National University, Dongguk University, Sejong University and Chung-Ang University. All the profits from their university performances will be donated.
