P1Harmony (Korean: 피원하모니; Acronym: P1H) is a South Korean boy band formed and managed by FNC Entertainment, consisting of Keeho, Theo, Jiung, Intak, Soul, and Jongseob. They are signed under CAA (Creative Artists Agency) since June 19, 2023, for their international activities. They debuted on October 28, 2020, with their first mini album, “DISHARMONY : STAND OUT.”

Pre-debut

FNC Entertainment announced plans for a new boy group in 2020, aiming for a summer debut. In August, they unveiled a fusion K-pop and K-movie project titled “P1H: The Beginning of a New World,” set for release in October. On September 1, the group’s name, P1Harmony, was revealed through a logo motion video, alongside the launch of their official social media accounts.

Before debuting, Jongseob won “K-pop Star 6” as a member of Boyfriend and later joined YG Entertainment. He participated in YG “Treasure Box” but was eliminated in episode 9 before moving to FNC Entertainment, where he debuted with P1Harmony. In 2018, Intak appeared as a guest on JTBC’s “I’ve Fallen For You.”

Activities After Debut

P1Harmony debuted on October 28, 2020, with their first mini album “Disharmony: Stand Out.” They made their first comeback on April 20, 2021, with “Disharmony: Break Out,” where they also revealed their fandom name, P1ece. Later that year, they released their official lightstick and performed at multiple cultural events in the U.S.

The group continued their “Disharmony” series with “Find Out” in January before transitioning to the “Harmony” series, releasing “Zero In” in July and “Set In” in November. On January 14, 2023, P1Harmony embarked on their second overseas tour “2023 P1Harmony Live Tour [P1ustage H: P1ONEER]” where they visited 39 cities around the world. On June 8, 2023, the group released their sixth EP “Harmony: All In,” and its lead single “Jump”. On June 21, it was revealed that the album made entry to the Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart. For the week ending on June 24, the album debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 51. The group also debuted on Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 35, marking their first-ever appearance on the chart since their debut in 2020. On the same week, the album entered the Billboard’s World Albums at No. 3, No. 8 on both Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales, and No. 11 on Independent Albums. They also signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for U.S. activities.

P1Harmony first full-length album

Their first full-length album, “Killin’ It,” was released in February, 2024 earning them their first-ever music show win. On April 27, the group embarked on their third overseas tour “2024 P1Harmony Live Tour [P1ustage H: UTOP1A]” with a two-day show in Seoul, followed by performing in 11 North American cities starting May 14. They also became the first K-pop group to attend the American Country Music Awards (ACMA).

The group also announced their first Japanese best album, “Love & P1ece,” along with a Zepp tour in Japan. In September, they released their seventh mini album, “Sad Song,” marking another step in their evolving musical journey.

Controversies

Racism Remarks against Black Fans

Before debuting, a shared Twitter account linked to Kiho surfaced with controversial posts, sparking criticism from international K-pop fans. FNC Entertainment quickly issued a statement and Kiho’s handwritten apology, clarifying that the posts were written by an acquaintance, not Kiho. He later addressed the issue in an interview.

Lawsuit Against Kiho’s Mother for Fraud

In September 2023, Kiho’s mother was sued for a 30 billion won fraud case, affecting a film’s release. Initially, the case received little attention, but a victim’s protest outside FNC Entertainment on February 1, 2025, sparked public interest. On February 17, the victim clarified that Kiho had been unaware of the incident and had sincerely apologized, expressing hope that he would not face further repercussions.
