Park Bo-gum Overwhelmed with Tears During Cha Ji-yeon’s Performance, Briefly Halts Show

On the April 18 episode of KBS 2TV’s music talk show The Seasons – Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile, the stage was filled with emotion and powerful performances by some of Korea’s most beloved artists, including Lee Seung-chul, DinDin, CHEEZE, and musical stars Cha Ji-yeon and Park Eun-tae.
In a show first, two musical actors, Cha Ji-yeon and Park Eun-tae, appeared to deliver grand, dramatic performances that left a deep impression on the audience. As a musical theater major himself, host Park Bo-gum couldn’t hide his admiration and asked Cha Ji-yeon for an impromptu performance.

Moved by her powerful vocals and emotional delivery, Park Bo-gum broke down in tears, catching everyone by surprise. The show had to pause briefly as Bo-gum struggled to compose himself. Audience members were reportedly heard chanting “Don’t cry!” in support of the emotional host.
Park Eun-tae also shared a warm story about attending the musical Let Me Fly, in which Bo-gum starred. “There were even rumors among actors that we had to go see it,” he said, piquing further interest in Bo-gum’s stage career.

Meanwhile, CHEEZE brings a sweet, fluttery stage perfect for the spring season. Often dubbed the “Tone Fairy,” CHEEZE teaches Park Bo-gum some unique and quirky vocal techniques that he normally wouldn’t encounter. Bo-gum tries to mimic her style perfectly but humorously asks, “Is that really right?” creating laughter. The full episode will reveal the vocal tips CHEEZE passed on and whether Bo-gum managed to master them.
The Seasons – Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile continues to deliver exclusive performances and heartfelt conversations with top-tier musicians. The latest episode airs April 18 at 10 PM KST on KBS 2TV.
