As the series touches on themes of family, sacrifice, and love, it has resonated with viewers, many of whom admit to crying through multiple episodes. Park Bo-gum was no exception.

He shared, “Every scene is a masterpiece, and every line feels iconic. If I had to pick one moment that really made me cry, it would be in Act 3 when Gwan-sik and Ae-soon are organizing food in their quiet home, and Geum-myung visits them.

He added, expressing emotional thoughts on his favourite scene, “It’s that scene where the child, now grown and independent, comes home unexpectedly just because she misses her parents. When the daughter arrives, the parents turn on the boiler, light the stove, and prepare all her favorite dishes… Every single gesture in that scene hit me hard.”

Park Bo-gum plays the younger Gwan-sik, showcasing his emotional journey from a youthful romantic to a devoted father. His performance spans decades and highlights his impressive emotional range.
