During a press interview held on June 26 at BH Entertainment’s headquarters in Gangnam, Seoul, following the conclusion of her tvN weekend drama Our Unwritten Seoul, Park Bo-young was asked about Shin Dong-yup’s public request the previous day for her to join Coupang Play’s SNL Korea.
“I’m not ready yet,” she answered honestly, adding, “It’s not something I’ve promised. That program requires someone with the right mindset and courage. You need to be fully prepared to let go—and I’m not there yet.”

Park elaborated, saying that without the full confidence to dive in, she prefers not to do it at all:
“I still have things I’m holding on to. I can’t let go of everything just yet,” she said with a playful smile, hinting at her reserved personality.
Park, known to be a devoted fan of the Hanwha Eagles baseball team, has also never thrown a ceremonial first pitch, a fact that aligns with her hesitation to appear on SNL Korea.

In a previous appearance on YouTube’s Ddun Ddun channel, Park expressed her rollercoaster emotions as a loyal Eagles supporter, “I always say I won’t watch, but then curiosity gets the better of me… and we’re still last. I think, ‘Wow, still?’”
Though she said she will continue to support the team in other ways, Park reiterated, “I’m still not confident about doing a ceremonial pitch.”

Following the interview, users on Korean forum Theqoo overwhelmingly sided with Park.
