Park Bom Criticized for Lackluster Performance after Controversy with Lee Min-ho
On February 23, 2NE1 Sandara Park shared a video of the 2NE1’s performance in Macau on her Instagram. The footage captured the girl group’s “WELCOME BACK” Asia Tour concert, which was held in Macau on February 22nd and 23rd.
However, what stood out in the video was Park Bom’s seemingly uninterested demeanor. While Sandara Park (Dara), CL, and Gong Minzy energetically approached fans, Park Bom walked leisurely to the center of the stage.
Additionally, her gestures appeared notably weak and lackluster. While the other members extended their arms strongly and jumped high on stage, Park Bom barely moved, weakly swinging one arm while keeping one foot planted on the ground.
Appearing to lack enthusiasm, she displayed a passive stage presence in front of thousands of fans, drawing criticism. However, some still defend the female idol, stating that the video only showed a small part of the concert and thus proves nothing, and that Park Bom could be walking slowly in order to greet her fans.
Meanwhile, prior to this, Park Bom stirred controversy by fueling dating rumors with Lee Min-ho. Since last year, she had been making posts referring to him as her “husband.” On February 12 and 15, she once again insisted, “He is my husband,” claiming to be married to Lee Min Ho.
At first, her agency explained, “Park Bom has recently been watching ‘The Heirs’ and became deeply immersed in the lead character played by Lee Min-ho. The posts were just a lighthearted incident with no special reason.” However, as her actions continued, concerns began to arise. As the controversy escalated, Park Bom clarified, “I am single and have no relationship with him.” Yet, she added, “Lee Min Ho told me to write that,” further confusing the public.
Ultimately, Lee Min Ho’s agency stepped in to deny the dating rumors. A representative stated, “Lee Min-ho has no personal acquaintance with Park Bom,” firmly dismissing the claims. Following this, Park Bom reiterated that she is alone and uploaded the post because Lee Min-ho told her to.
