Park Eun-bin takes on her first-ever doctor role in the upcoming Disney+ medical thriller “Hyper Knife,” premiering on March 19.
The drama follows Jung Se-ok, a once-promising genius neurosurgeon whose career is destroyed by her mentor, Choi Deok-hee (played by Sul Kyung-gu). Stripped of her medical license, she becomes a shadow doctor, leading a dangerous underground life while confronting her former mentor in a tense rivalry.
Recently released still cuts reveal Se-ok in intense moments—performing surgery in a bloodstained gown, delivering piercing gazes, and breaking down in tears—showcasing the depth of Park Eun-bin’s transformation.
Director Kim Jung-hyun praised her, “She has completely brought Jung Se-ok to life with her solid acting skills, portraying a character starkly different from her previous image.” Sul Kyung-gu also expressed admiration, “Park Eun-bin in this kind of role? That alone sounded new and exciting to me.”
Park Eun-bin shared her excitement for the role, “There was something fascinating about the character’s setup and structure. I felt a strong desire to portray the complex inner and outer world of Se-ok as best as I could.”
Starring Park Eun-bin, Sul Kyung-gu, Yoon Chan-young and Park Byung-eun, “Hyper Knife” will be available for streaming on Disney+ starting March 19.
