Actress Park Eun-hye opened up about her personal life and high school memories on the May 20 episode of SBS Plus and E Channel’s variety show Because I’m Solo.

To celebrate her birthday, Park Eun-hye took a camping trip with her high school friends, where she candidly reflected on how her views on birthdays—and life in general—have shifted over the years.

“My first birthday after the divorce was flashy—like the ones I had before marriage,” Park shared. “But from the second birthday on, I just wanted a quiet meal at a nice restaurant. It felt weird going alone, and I didn’t really have anyone to go with, so I had a fine dining birthday with friends. After that, birthdays kind of lost meaning, and I stopped celebrating them.”

The segment also featured a rare glimpse into Park Eun-hye’s high school days, showing a photo of her as a teenager. Referred to as the “Ulzzang”—a Korean term for someone known for their exceptional looks—at Inseong Girls’ High School, Park’s friends recalled just how popular she was among students.

“It once caused a commotion when someone shouted ‘I love you, Park Eun-hye!’ in the middle of the school,” one friend remembered fondly.

Park then revealed a surprising twist, saying she discovered the identity of the mystery admirer through the program I Miss You, My Friend, which reconnects people from the past.

“When I found out who it was, I was a bit disappointed,” she said with a laugh. “It turned out to be someone I already knew too well.”

Park Eun-hye married in 2011 and became a mother to twin sons, but later divorced in 2018. Since then, she has continued to focus on her career and personal growth, earning praise for her resilience and honesty.
