Park Ha-sun’s Shocking Confession About Husband Ryu Soo-young Frequently Saying “Let’s Break Up” During Dating Days
On the January 21st episode of SBS’s “Dolsing Fourmen”, Park Ha-sun appeared as a guest alongside actresses Hong Eun-hee and Han Hye-jin, sharing stories about their husbands. During the episode, Park Ha-sun openly discussed her husband’s kiss scenes in dramas.
She said, “I watch my husband’s kiss scenes and say, ‘Why didn’t you do better? You should’ve done it well so you could land more work.’ When we were dating, I felt jealous, but after marriage, it’s all about the money. Now, I just tell him to do his best.”
However, even Park Ha-sun admitted there were moments that upset her. She shared, “When he was in the drama ‘Queenmaker’, I got mad. One kiss is fine, but he kissed five different people in that show. He played a villain, and I was like, ‘What kind of neighborhood dog are you?’” Her humorous remark caused laughter.
When asked if Ryu Soo-young “proposed” to her only a month after they met, Park Ha-sun corrected, “It wasn’t a month—it was more like a week. During a drama shoot, there was a wedding scene, and I jokingly asked him, ‘When will we get married?’ He replied, ‘Let’s do it in the fall.’”
However, Park Ha-sun felt she was too young to marry at the time and delayed it for two years, finally tying the knot at 30. She also revealed she told Ryu Soo-young, “Let me do one more project before we get married.”
Han Hye-jin commented “It must have been tough for him to wait when he wanted to get married”, to which Park Ha-sun responded, “That’s why he kept saying, ‘Let’s break up.’ It was really hard for me. We had already promised to marry, so I couldn’t understand why he kept bringing up breaking up.” She later learned from her neighbor, Park Sol-mi, that Ryu Soo-young was desperately eager to get married. Park Ha-sun smilingly said, “Apparently, that was his way of playing hard to get.”
Married for “Face and Acting Talent”
Tak Jae-hoon commented, “Using ‘Let’s break up’ as a card in push-and-pull relationships is risky.” Park Ha-sun replied, “I endured it for a while but eventually also suggested breaking up once. But I rarely break up; I’m very patient.” She added, “Looking back, I think I just said ‘Fine, whatever’ and let it go.”
Park Ha-sun also admitted she married Ryu Soo-young because of his face and acting skills. “With that face and acting ability, I knew he wouldn’t let me starve. When he started cooking, money kept coming in. He’s the first man I’ve met who earned more than me and even gave me his card.”
The couple, who married in 2017 and have a daughter together, have showcased their relationship publicly. Ryu Soo-young, known for his culinary skills, also made headlines by “winning” on KBS2’s “Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant” with his creative and delicious dishes.
