Actress Park Han Byul has taken a nostalgic look back at her days as one of Korea’s legendary “Five Ulzzangs,” alongside Goo Hye Sun and Lee Joo Yeon.
Appearing on the August 10 episode of TV Chosun’s “Huh Young Man’s Food Travel”, Park traveled to Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do, where she reflected on her sudden rise to fame before debuting as an actress. “I was really just an ordinary student, but overnight I became famous. When I took the subway, everyone recognized me.”
“They all stared, and I didn’t know what to do,” she recalled. Her candid memory offered a glimpse into the height of the early-2000s ulzzang craze, when internet-famous faces quickly became household names. Host Heo Young Man praised her beauty, remarking that even without the “Five Ulzzang” title, she would have drawn attention anywhere.
