A Storied Career and Love Life

Kim Min-ji began her broadcasting career in 2010 as a sports announcer for KBS N and later joined SBS as part of its 17th open recruitment. She became a familiar face on shows such as “Live Today”, “Football Magazine Goal!” and “Capture the Moment How is that Possible”.

In 2014, she left SBS and married football legend Park Ji-sung. The couple has two children: daughter Yeon-woo, born in November 2015, and son Seon-woo, born in February 2018. They currently reside in London, UK.

Park Ji-sung, a central figure in South Korea’s historic 2002 World Cup semifinal run and the first Korean to play in the English Premier League, officially retired from football on May 14, 2014. At a press conference held at the Park Ji-sung Football Center in Suwon, he said, “My knee condition won’t allow me to continue another season. Though my journey as a footballer ends, I’ll now think about how to return the love I’ve received.”
