“Park Seo-joon Ruined Many Lives” Former BJ-Turned-Business Owner Faces Bankruptcy Crisis, Harsh Advice Hits Hard
In the fourth episode of SBS Plus’ “Anyone Can Be a Boss”, which aired on Feb 4th, MCs Han Hye-jin, Yoo Jung-soo and Kim Ho-young, along with “Law Avengers” lawyers Lee Kyung-min and Kim Hye-jin, discussed shocking incidents involving disorderly customers, including trespassing, random assaults and arson, based on video submissions.
The first featured business owner ran a Japanese pork cutlet restaurant in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do.
After spending six years as a gaming BJ, he borrowed startup funds from a fan but saw daily sales drop to one-fifth of their original amount. During the evaluation, Yoo Jung-soo criticized the owner’s unmeasured cooking methods, asking, “You don’t have a recipe book, do you?” The owner admitted to keeping recipes in “Chat with Myself” on his phone.
Han Hye-jin humorously commented, “That’s where you store long messages when you’re mad at your partner but don’t want to send them right away!“

The owner had been running the restaurant with little cost awareness, struggling to understand the concept of a cost sheet. Yoo Jung-soo calculated the financials and pointed out, “Payroll accounts for 55% of revenue, yet a 12-pyeong store employs four staff—completely inefficient!“
He sharply questioned, “Do you want to play boss, or do you want to run a business?” Lawyer Kim Hye-jin added, “You must’ve watched ‘Itaewon Class‘ too many times.” Yoo Jung-soo concluded, “Park Seo-joon ruined many lives.“

Later, the owner returned with a proper cost sheet and recipe book, having also reduced staff. Seeing the improvements, Yoo Jung-soo declared “survival”, marking the first time the program spared a business from closure. He even invited the owner to collaborate on a “Spicy Stir-fried Chicken + Pork Cutlet” menu.
