In the video titled “A Hide-and-Seek Scene That Makes You Want to Grab Myung-gi by the Collar,” actor Park Sung-hoon joins fellow cast members Im Si-wan, Kang Ae-sim, and Jo Yu-ri to watch and react to key scenes from the third season of Squid Game.

A particularly powerful scene featured the final moments of Hyun-joo, Park’s transgender character introduced in Season 2, who became a fan favorite for their resilience and emotional depth. Reflecting on that scene, Park revealed, “The director asked if I could drop a single tear before collapsing, and we got it in the first take.”

Im Si-wan, visibly moved by the violence of the scene, asked, “Why did Myung-gi have to do that?” to which Park jokingly replied, “Because you agreed to be in the show,” prompting laughter.

Jo Yu-ri and Kang Ae-sim expressed sorrow for the fate of Hyun-joo, with Jo sighing, “It’s truly brutal.”

However, the most revealing moment came when Park disclosed that immediately after filming Hyun-joo’s death at a Daejeon studio, he had to rush to Jeongseon, Gangwon-do, to shoot another emotionally taxing scene—his character Yoon Eun-seong’s death in Queen of Tears.

“It happened to fall on the same day. The emotional exhaustion from both scenes was overwhelming,” Park confessed.

Kang Ae-sim, visibly moved, wiped away tears and added, “It really must have been so difficult.”

Jo Yu-ri echoed the sentiment, saying, “Even though I read the script and filmed the scene, seeing the edited version was still shocking.”
