In a legal notice released on May 16, the company stated that it has been continuously monitoring malicious comments, doxxing, and stalking behaviors targeting PLAVE members, and has already filed multiple criminal complaints.

VLAST has taken legal action against individuals who leaked personal information or defamed PLAVE members, identifying several suspects with nationwide investigations underway. The agency also addressed ongoing stalking incidents, including fans following cars and attempting to access dorms, and pledged to seek maximum punishment, including prison time, for repeat offenders.

VLAST (hereinafter “the Company”) is continuously monitoring malicious behavior such as slanderous and defamatory comments about PLAVE members, the unauthorized disclosure of personal information, and stalking behavior that threatens the artists’ privacy (hereinafter “sasaeng behavior”), and we inform you that we are taking strict legal measures against such acts.

Regarding past legal cases, we have received rulings acknowledging civil liability for damages after the conclusion of criminal proceedings, and we will continue to proceed thoroughly through the execution phase. Furthermore, in March 2025, the Company filed criminal complaints against individuals who posted malicious content and disclosed personal information about PLAVE members. Several suspects have already been identified, and investigations are currently underway nationwide. In these cases, we will apply a zero-tolerance policy and pursue both criminal punishment and civil claims for damages.

Additionally, the Company has recently confirmed repeated stalking attempts by certain individuals trying to follow or approach PLAVE members. Such actions are clear crimes that seriously endanger the members’ physical and psychological safety and cannot be tolerated by societal standards. We have secured evidence including CCTV and vehicle black box footage, and will press charges under the Act on Punishment of Stalking Crimes. We will demand the maximum penalties, including possible imprisonment, for repeated offenders.

Sharing information about the members’ movements or private lives, attempting to access their accommodation or vehicles, and taking unauthorized photos in private settings are severe invasions of privacy that cannot be justified under any circumstances.
