On May 19, a Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency official stated during a press briefing that they had received seven cases filed by Kim Soo-hyun’s side and three by Kim Sae-ron’s side.
According to authorities, the Child Welfare Act violation case filed by Kim Sae-ron’s side against Kim Soo-hyun is being investigated by the Women and Juvenile Serious Crimes Unit at Gangnam Police Station. Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun’s legal team’s defamation and AI manipulation-related complaints are being handled by the Investigation Division of the same station.

A public interest complaint transferred from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission against lawyer Bu Ji-seok, legal representative of Kim Sae-ron’s family, was also assigned to Gangnam Police Station on May 16. Bu had been reported for allegedly providing inappropriate legal advice.
Separately, the defamation complaint against YouTuber Lee Jin-ho—filed by Kim Sae-ron’s side is currently under investigation by Seodaemun Police Station.
Police noted that none of the accused from either side have been formally questioned yet, and Kim Soo-hyun’s team is reportedly coordinating a schedule for appearance and testimony.

Meanwhile, on May 7, Garo Sero’s CEO Kim Se-ui and lawyer Bu Ji-seok released alleged audio recordings with Kim Sae-ron from a U.S.-based whistleblower and filed new complaints accusing Kim Soo-hyun of child welfare violations and false accusations—alongside shocking claims of a murder-for-hire plot. Kim’s agency, Gold Medalist, dismissed the recordings as AI-generated forgeries and filed further legal action on May 9.
As of now, the investigations are ongoing, and both sides continue to pursue aggressive legal actions.
