Police noted, “We will determine the validity of the charges based on materials secured through searches and seizures as well as communications investigations.” They reiterated, “Song Mino has largely acknowledged leaving his post during work hours.

Song Mino had been serving as a public service worker at the Mapo Facility Management Corporation and the Mapo Resident Convenience Facility since March 2023. However, allegations surfaced that toward the end of his service, he failed to report to work properly, and on the days he did, he allegedly spent little time there, often lying down and playing games before leaving.

Co-workers claimed Song Mino received special treatment due to his celebrity status, including arriving late because of medications, only briefly showing up and not performing primary duties such as answering phone calls. They also alleged that Song Mino violated dress code rules, citing his long hair and refusal to wear the standard uniform.
