Pregnant Dating Show Star Asks for Help after Doxxing Boyfriend: Getting Sued for Stalking?
On May 4, former “Heart Signal 3” cast member Seo Min-jae (also known as Seo Eun-woo) and former lover of ex-WINNER Nam Tae-hyun, published a new post on social media, saying, “Someone called me and threatened that I’m going to be sued for stalking. Please help me.” Although the dating show star did not specify who the caller was, it appears to be related to her boyfriend, who she recently doxxed.
Previously, Seo Min-jae has ignited a firestorm of controversy after publicly revealing her pregnancy and exposing her boyfriend’s personal information on social media. In particular, the influencer claimed that her child’s father has cut off communication, prompting her to share a series of desperate messages and sensitive details online.
In particular, after posting an ultrasound image on Instagram with personal details of her alleged boyfriend, including his full name, age, social media accounts, and even the name of the apartment complex he lives in, Seo Min-jae shared private text exchanges where she pleaded with him to respond.
In one message, she wrote: “What are you going to do? I’m pregnant. You can’t just run away like this.” The man eventually responded, saying he was overwhelmed and needed time to think, but asked her not to come to his home unannounced. Seo ignored the plea and posted a screenshot tagging what appears to be his residential location.
Reacting to this, netizens have been sharply divided. Some expressed sympathy for Seo, arguing her actions reflect desperation and emotional distress. Others raised concerns about potential legal consequences, pointing out that publishing private information without consent may constitute defamation or invasion of privacy under Korean law.
A legal expert noted, “Revealing someone’s identity, address, or affiliation without consent, especially in a retaliatory context, can be subject to criminal charges. This case could lead to legal action depending on how the parties proceed.”
On the other hand, Seo first gained public attention on Channel A’s “Heart Signal 3” in 2020 as a groundbreaking female mechanic hired by a major corporation. Her reputation, however, took a major hit in 2022 when she admitted to using methamphetamine with former WINNER member Nam Tae-hyun. She was given a 10-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, in 2023. She later revealed she had changed her name to Seo Eun-woo and is now enrolled in a theological graduate program.
On the other hand, this is not the first time controversy has erupted over a dating show participant. Most recently, a scandal has broken out between Riwon and Hangyul, who are appearing together in the hot lesbian dating show “ToGetHer”.
