Appearing on JTBC’s Newsroom on December 1, Rosé discussed her recent duet with Bruno Mars, APT. (Apartment), which has become a sensation. She shared that working with him brought noticeable changes to her vocal style.

“I wanted to create a funky, vibrant atmosphere, so I worked hard to adapt my singing. He coached me on how to sing lines like, ‘Wait for me, I’m coming to you,’ with more expression. When I tried, he joked, ‘You’ve never tried flirting with anyone, have you?’ I was shy at first, but he encouraged me, guiding me to give a better performance.”

Rosé also mentioned Bruno Mars’ creative vision for the music video:

“He had such clear ideas. He even sent reference videos and suggested, ‘Wouldn’t a pink background look great?’ From the costumes to the overall vibe, he had a vivid world in mind, and I learned so much from working with him.”
