Rosé, a BLACKPINK member who is active as a solo singer, appeared on the December 11th broadcast of tvN’s entertainment program “You Quiz on the Block” and talked about her collaboration with pop star Bruno Mars in the song “APT.”.
First of all, Rosé confessed, “It was somewhat interesting. My family also likes the song”. MC Yoo Jae-suk commented, “You don’t just sing the song, you even participated in composing it and writing the lyrics. Once again, I want to congratulate you on the success of the song. ‘APT.’ is about a drinking game in Korea and it has become so famous worldwide”. He was also curious about the process of how the song was made.

In response, Rosé explained, “It was when I started working on some songs with my friends. I told them, ‘Let me show you guys how to play some Korean drinking games’, because the games are really interesting. Among many games, I like ‘apt. game’ the most and it’s also very easy to play. So I showed them how to play it first, but after that, they kept repeating ‘apateu~ apateu~’”.
Hearing the story, Yoo Jae-suk said, “So you didn’t turn the game into a song on purpose but it became famous and addictive”. Rosé added, “That’s right. I was amazed by the fact that so many people liked it. I just found it funny seeing my foreign friends repeating ‘apateu~ apateu~’, then made it into a song.”
