S.E.S’s Bada Once Again Shows Public Support for NewJeans Amid Dispute, “Idol is a Noble Profession”

On January 10, Bada, a former member of 1st generation K-pop girl group S.E.S, expressed her public support for NewJeans again.
In particular, she started the post by saying, “Good afternoon to all my fans. Did you watch the new S.E.S. video uploaded to YouTube yesterday?! I’m surprised that you’re so good at editing”.

Bada explained her decision to use NewJeans’ “Supernatural” as the background music, saying, “I recorded the recording of NewJeans’ ‘Supernatural’ while practicing for the concert last summer, and put it into the video. Since it is a video of S.E.S.’s activities in Japan, I think it will be especially meaningful to our fans.”
She then once again showed support for NewJeans, stating, “I share this song to show my encouragement and love for my juniors, NewJeans, who must have had a hard time last year. There’s not much I can do as a senior,” and adding, “And to all of our wonderful juniors who have lost sleep and always struggled and done their best until they could meet their fans. I hope that you will greet 2025, which is quickly approaching, happily, warmly, and brilliantly together with your fans as much as you have put in your passion with pure hearts.”
Finally, Bada said, “Idol is a noble profession. Everyone, in your respective positions, don’t lose your pride and smile and shine brightly,” and added, “To all the junior female idols of the Republic of Korea, fighting! Your future will always be dazzling like stars, my lovely ones.”
Meanwhile, previously on April 30th, Bada posed a photo of NewJeans’s new song on her official account with the caption, “Amid the complicated stories of adults… Preparing an album is always hard and busy for idols… How tiring must it have been for these young friends this time?”.
She continued, “I’m sure my junior idols are going through hard times in their own place but I hope they endure these beautiful days that will never come again, grow up better, and be happier as you are. All the idol juniors in Korea are just amazing. I support you all”.

By saying “complicated stories of adults”, Bada seemed to refer to the conflict between ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin, who produced NewJeans, and HYBE, the parent company of ADOR. Earlier, HYBE claimed that Min Hee-jin and other executives attempted to take over the management rights of ADOR after conducting an audit into the label on April 22nd.
On the 25th, HYBE filed a complaint against Min Hee-jin on charges of breach of duty. Min Hee-jin reacted by holding an emergency press conference on the same day and refuted all the allegations.
Despite the confusion within the company, NewJeans is still preparing for their comeback while rooting for CEO Min Hee-jin. The female CEO also expressed affection for the members by posting the new digital single teaser of NewJeans on her account.
